EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT!
Does something look a little
different today? That’s right - our Resurrection Review has had a gentle
make over. The timing of this is to coincide with the beginning of our
2007-2008 Program Year.
The Resurrection Review is not the only thing at ECOR that will take a
new and fresh look. Our Sunday bulletins have also received a gentle
make over. In addition, large print Sunday scripture readings will now
be available.
If that doesn’t entice you to be with us this Sunday for our Program
Year kick off let me sweeten the deal. At 9:00AM Scott Oakshott starts a
new series, which will cover a different area or topic about our faith
and our Church every week. The angels will also be joining us this
Sunday as the choir will once again be vested and our regular Sunday
School begins. This wonderful experience will undoubtedly make you
hungry so after the 10AM service we will be hosting our Annual
Grandparent Bar-B-Que. We will provide the hamburgers and hot dogs and
you are invited to bring both your grandparents or grandchildren and a
dish to share. Finally, while all of this is going on our incredible
Youth Group will be offering folks the opportunity to leave church with
a cleaner car than they arrived with.
This Sunday will also be our Team ECOR for September (our monthly
outreach program) which focuses on Books for Belize. Piles of books have
already arrived and more are welcome. However, what is most important is
the purchase of said books so that we can continue to provide support
for the children who attend Christ the King Anglican School in Belize.
During the week opportunities also abound: games, fiber arts, senior
aerobics, senior writing class and our Wednesday Saints of God mid-week
worship. New to our offerings are Brown Bag Bible Study on Friday at
noon and our Dinners of Eight fellowship.
Your Vestry and other folks have spent a fair bit of their summer
reviewing, planning and preparing for what looks to be a great year of
worship, education, fellowship and outreach. Be sure to see the new
community life and Team ECOR tables detailing all of the fun and
outreach opportunities for our Program Year.
Everything that we do at ECOR is “designed” for folks to invite and
include friends, family and neighbors as we continue to Feed our Faith
so we can Feed the World!
Blessings,

The Rev. Brian N. Prior, Rector
